What we store
Your profile contains a display name, avatar seed, timezone, preferences, and aggregate focus totals. Room participation can include intentions, statuses, outcomes, chat messages, seat history, and session time.
If you use Focus Commons, posts, replies, reactions, reports, blocks, and the public profile fields you choose are stored as community data.
Guest and signed-in profiles
A guest profile is tied to an opaque browser session cookie. Clearing browser data or ending the guest session can remove your access to it.
Signing in connects your Focus Lobby profile to the account identity provided by the sign-in service. Your email is private and is never shown in rooms, public profiles, or Focus Commons.
What other people can see
Room members can see your display name, avatar, current status, intention, host role, and room presence. Public forum readers can see published posts, replies, and public profile fields.
Exact personal totals stay private unless you explicitly enable aggregate totals on your public profile.
Service operations
We use the data to keep rooms synchronized, recover sessions, enforce permissions, prevent abuse, deliver requested notifications, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising profiles.
Infrastructure providers process data only as needed to host and operate Focus Lobby.
Control and retention
You can edit your display name and preferences, export your profile data, and delete your Focus Lobby profile from Settings. Deletion removes private account-linked data; published community contributions may remain in anonymized form so conversations still make sense.
Chat and operational records may be retained for safety and reliability for a limited period. Backups can take additional time to expire.
