Protect attention
Keep room intentions brief, chat appropriate to the room’s phase, and forum titles specific. Do not create urgency, spam, repetitive promotion, or notification pressure.
Be human and specific
Ask honest questions, give context, and respond to the person in front of you. Disagreement is welcome; harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, and humiliation are not.
Respect privacy
Do not expose another person’s identity, messages, work, location, or account details. Avoid placing confidential material in intentions, chat, screenshots, or public posts.
No productivity theatre
Do not rank people, shame breaks, inflate totals, or treat statuses as a performance score. Quiet wins can be shared without turning work into competition.
Moderation and reports
Report the specific content or profile that needs review and add context when useful. Blocking keeps another person’s Commons content out of your experience. Moderators may hide content, lock discussions, or limit accounts when safety requires it.
